Certification

How NYTI Certification Works

A transparent, standards-based path from enrolment to a certificate that anyone can verify.

  1. Step 1

    Choose a Course

Select an online or offline training program.

  2. Step 2

    Complete Training

Attend classes, complete lessons and required activities.

  3. Step 3

    Complete Assessment

Take the required examination or practical assessment.

  4. Step 4

    Receive Your Certificate

Successfully completing the requirements allows the learner to receive an NYTI-certified certificate.

Verification

How certificate verification works

  1. 1

    Find the certificate ID

Printed at the bottom of every certificate in the format NYTI-YYYY-NNNNNN.

  2. 2

Enter it or scan the QR code

The QR code opens the verification page with the ID already filled in.

  3. 3

    Read the official result

The registry returns the certificate's status, holder, course, issuer and issue date.

What each status means

  • Valid

The certificate was issued by NYTI or an authorized partner and is currently in good standing.

  • Expired

Some occupational certificates (for example safety-critical trades) must be renewed after a set period.

  • Revoked

NYTI has withdrawn the certificate, for example following an assessment integrity review.
